Best time to dive Australia's Great Barrier Reef: Local May - October

Giant clams, colourful sea anemones and sandals can be seen here, as well as spinnerbaits, lionfish, and slow-moos. Being on the edge of the reef, there are also many different sizes of marine life to be seen, such as sea turtles, giant crabfish, goldfish, kingfish and sea cucumbers lying on the sea floor.
